Incentive for the Purchase of Electric Bicycles

An Important Step Towards Carbon Neutrality

The incentive is part of the country's commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. By supporting electric mobility, the Environmental Fund aims not only to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, but also to encourage the use of more environmentally friendly and efficient alternatives for urban travel.

Who Can Benefit?

All residents of Portugal who purchase an electric bicycle within the validity period, i.e. until the end of 2024, can benefit from this incentive. Support is limited to one application per individual, while legal entities (companies or organisations) may apply for up to four incentives.

How much can you receive?

The incentive is worth 50% of the retail price of the electric bicycle, with a maximum limit of €500. This incentive is intended to facilitate the transition to more sustainable modes of transport by helping to reduce the initial cost of purchase.
