In 2025, new support measures were introduced for the installation of equipment for producing energy from renewable sources.

The “+ENERGIA” Incentive System supports the production of renewable energy and the use of endogenous resources, contributing to carbon neutrality in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.

This programme supports:

• The acquisition and installation of renewable energy production and storage systems for self-consumption;
• The acquisition and installation of hot water production equipment;
• Heat production from renewable energy sources.

The following may apply:

• Individuals;
• Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) of any nature and legal form (including sole traders);
• Cooperatives;
• Private social solidarity institutions;
• Non-profit associations;
• Condominiums.

Local, regional and national public administration entities are not eligible to apply.

Support covers the following types:

• Type I: Investments in the use of renewable resources for:
  i) Electricity production for self-consumption (including inverters);
  ii) Electricity storage associated with self-consumption.
• Type II: Investments in hot water production through:
  i) Solar thermal systems;
  ii) Heat pumps.

Deadline for Registration: until 5:00 pm on May 30, 2025.
